The pest attacks not only apple trees, but also other fruit trees.
But how do you know if a parasite has taken up residence in your garden? It's very simple. If there are black holes in the fruit, that's a clear sign of a problem.
Affected fruits fall off more often and faster.
The problem is more acute in neglected gardens.
If you want to prevent worms from appearing in apples, you need to clean the branches from old bark, dig up the soil in the trunk circle, and also treat the trees.
The treatment should be carried out after flowering. During the growth and ripening of fruits, the procedure can be repeated. But if the pests have already spoiled the apples, then you can no longer get rid of them.
You can use chemical (Inta-Vir) and biological (Fitoverm, Lepidocide) preparations to combat worms.
Some summer residents also make special traps for them. For example, you can hang an open container on a tree, but fill it with fresh apple compote or water with apple cider vinegar.
