Beginning gardeners are surprised why some housewives have geraniums blooming almost all year round.
The secret lies in the correct feeding, which provides plants with resources for long and abundant flowering.
How to feed geraniums
Iodine is a folk remedy that has been tested by many housewives, thanks to which geraniums are covered with flowers.
Only a few drops of the drugstore product are used per liter of water. Mix and then water the plants at the roots.
It is recommended to moisten the soil with regular water beforehand, and then apply iodine-based fertilizer.
Another pharmaceutical product that stimulates abundant flowering of geranium is boric acid. Use a liter of warm water in which 1 g of the product is dissolved.
If the plant blooms without additional feeding, and you just need to prolong flowering, then boric acid is also suitable for this. The concentration changes - 1 g per 2 l of water, as well as the method of application - on the leaf.
