If you are thinking about sowing corn seeds for seedlings, use this quick guide.
An expert of the online publication BelNovosti, agronomist and landscape designer Anastasia Kovrizhnykh reminds us that, as a rule, 30-day-old seedlings are used for planting.
Seeds should be sown in early May.
For this purpose, it is worth using humus-soil or peat-soil bags.
This will allow you to isolate the seedlings, as a result of which, when transplanting, you will be able to eliminate as much as possible the risk of damaging the roots, because, as is known, corn does not like transplanting for this very reason.
Around June 15, it is permissible to plant corn seedlings in open ground - the sprout should have no more than three true leaves.
The planting depth of corn should be slightly greater than the lump of soil in which the seedlings were grown.
Once you have completed planting, do not forget to water the beds and spread mulch material on them.
