Fertilizing garlic is a separate story, especially when it comes to winter plantings.

It is believed that if you do not miss the obligatory April feeding, you can harvest a crop that will make everyone envious. They even say that garlic heads will weigh 130 grams after this, no less.

Let's figure out what garlic lacks for normal growth in mid-spring.

When to feed

April is a general term. There is no exact date, and the additives are added after the garlic sprouts appear in the beds.

During this period, the plant begins to actively grow green mass, without which it is then impossible to imagine the growth of garlic heads.

Therefore, if the goal is to collect a good harvest of garlic, you need to add an additive of two components.

The nutrient solution is prepared from ammonium nitrate and magnesium sulfate.

20 grams of ammonium nitrate and magnesium sulfate must be dissolved in 10 liters of warm water.

Then deep furrows are prepared between the rows in the garden bed and fertilizer is poured into them.

After the mixture has been absorbed, the furrows must be sealed so that the soil does not have time to become weathered and dry out.
