If necessary, you can replace the paste with tooth powder.

It is recommended to carry out the procedure on a windless, non-rainy day, in the evening.

If it rains, repeat the treatment. To achieve the best result, spray several times.

Repelling slugs and snails

Slugs and snails will not damage your plants if you treat them with a toothpaste solution. Its specific smell, as well as the components included in the preparation, repel pests.

For greater effectiveness, you can add black pepper or mustard to the paste diluted with water. Their sharp taste and smell will not be to the taste of insects.

Additionally, gravel, broken eggshells or nuts are sprinkled along the path of slugs. Tooth powder has the same effect. It is simply sprinkled on the beds.

Prevention of late blight on tomatoes

Tomatoes suffer greatly from such a disease as late blight. Affected plants can no longer be saved, they die. Therefore, it is best to carry out preventive measures so that the disease does not appear.

To treat for late blight, use a bleaching paste. It contains the most effective elements. A large tube is diluted in 2 liters of water, mixed thoroughly, then liquid is added to the volume of 10 liters. The resulting mixture is sprayed on tomatoes so that the water abundantly irrigates the foliage both from above and below.

Soil disinfection

To prepare the soil for planting, make it more suitable and clean it from harmful microorganisms, toothpaste is also suitable. It also reduces acidity, the soil receives such useful elements as calcium and fluorine.

When preparing a solution for soil treatment, use the following concentration: a tube of the product per 3 liters of water. The soil can be watered in this way both in spring and summer.

This budget and simple method of protecting plants from various pests and diseases can be used often. It is easy and does not require much effort and investment.
