Bell pepper is a vegetable that is loved by many gourmets.

Sweet and juicy fruits are ideal ingredients for salads, as well as excellent additions to meat.

Therefore, it is not surprising that many summer residents grow this garden crop.

And if you follow a few simple rules, the pepper yield will be high and the condition of the fruit will be excellent.

Choosing the right variety

The plant variety should never be chosen at random.

The choice should be made on the type of garden crop that will “feel” good in your region with its climatic features.

Plant in open ground on time

Transplanting of seedlings to the garden bed should be done 50 days after the start of cultivation. This is if picking is not carried out.

But if this procedure is carried out, the plant should be exposed to the open air after 2 months.

There is no point in replanting peppers if it is still cold outside. It is desirable that the temperature indicator is above +20 degrees.

Select a suitable site

Shaded areas are not suitable for bell peppers at all. Areas exposed to wind are not suitable either.

The garden crop should be grown in a place that is well lit by the sun and protected from adverse weather conditions.

The soil in which peppers grow should be loose and neutral.

Ensure the right "neighborhood"

It is desirable to ensure that the “neighbors” of the bell pepper contribute to its growth, as well as protection from diseases and pests.

In this regard, onions, garlic, marigolds and nasturtiums can be called “friends” of garden crops.

But dill, peas, beans and potatoes should not be placed near peppers.

Pinch off certain fruits

If in the first days of June the plant has stopped flowering and the formation of fruits has begun, then the latter should be removed.

If you follow this recommendation, the plant will bear fruit more actively in the future.

If it is not yet time to harvest, but it has already become very cold, then it is advisable to remove small vegetables: this will greatly help the large fruits.
