The effectiveness of peony feeding depends not only on the chosen fertilizer, but also on the timing of its implementation.
The first feeding of peonies is carried out 7-10 days after the snow melts, when the probability of cold weather and new precipitation consisting of small ice crystals is reduced to zero.
The weather often likes to surprise gardeners with unpleasant surprises, so it is important to monitor long-term forecasts in order to better time the first feeding of peonies.

So, when the cover is removed, the soil has dried and warmed up, the first fertilizer is applied. The emphasis is on the nitrogen and potassium components.
Use rotted manure - ½ bucket per bush. As an alternative source of nitrogen, use ammonium nitrate - 50 g per plant.
The second macroelement will be replenished with potassium sulfate - 20 g per bush. Ash is used instead of this fertilizer.
Fertilizers are applied in dry form. They are evenly distributed over the surface of the soil within a radius of 30-50 cm from the center of the bush.
