How to Make a Mini Greenhouse for Seedlings with Your Own Hands: It's Very Simple

Gardeners often face the need to protect seedlings from low temperatures.

Moreover, both seedlings that appeared in open ground and sprouts in a container on the windowsill may need protection.

The first situation is quite understandable: unexpected frosts can make themselves known even in May.

The second case is more rare. However, even seedlings indoors can face the cold.

In addition, summer residents often want to achieve accelerated germination.

And in all the situations described above, a “mini-greenhouse” will come to the rescue, which you can easily make with your own hands.

How to make a "mini-greenhouse"

You will need a plastic bottle. Its volume depends on the area to be covered.

If you need to “insulate” seedlings in a small container, then a liter bottle will do just fine.

But if the seedlings in open ground need shelter, then you will need a five-, eight- or even twenty-liter container.

It is enough to cut off the top of the bottle and make several holes in the bottom.

The resulting “cup” must be turned over and placed so that the seedlings are under cover.

As a result, the sprouts will acquire protection from frost. And the seedlings on the windowsill will begin to demonstrate faster growth.

Important! You cannot use a plastic "mini-greenhouse" on warm days. Otherwise, the seedlings will "cook" and will certainly not demonstrate accelerated development.
