With the arrival of spring, plot owners have a lot of trouble: planting seedlings, caring for the garden and flower beds.

The list of tasks includes protecting tulips from pests. Some gardeners treat the bulbs before planting to protect them from parasites.

But not everyone does this. After warming, the bulbs can no longer be dug up for processing. But there is another way to protect the roots of flowers. Simple folk remedies help with this.

How to protect tulips from rodents

There are two main folk methods.

1. Rags are soaked in birch tar, and then the rags are buried around the flowerbed. Gardeners claim that such peculiar repellents around the perimeter of the flowerbed work perfectly.

2. Some gardeners use a seasoning to combat rodents – ground pepper and mustard.

Shallow grooves are made around the flowerbed and culinary powder is poured into them. The result is a kind of barrier strip.
