A plant such as nettle is known to all summer residents firsthand.
Instead of battling a stubborn weed that is quite difficult to eradicate, use nettles as a base for making a nutrient solution.
To make a liquid fertilizer, cut nettles before they go to seed.
Now the stems and leaves need to be finely chopped and placed in a plastic bucket.
Fill the container with water so that it barely covers the plant material, after which you can safely leave the fertilizer to ferment.
This process usually takes 14 days.
After 2 weeks, the mixture should be filtered using a sieve.
It may seem that at this stage the process of preparing the fertilizer has come to an end, but this is not so. Before you start watering the beds, the composition should be diluted with water in a ratio of 1 to 10. If you want to spray, the proportion is 1 to 20.
