- plastic containers, lids and any soil.
Fill the containers with soil. Pass the top 1 cm layer through a sieve to achieve homogeneity, otherwise the petunia seeds will not break through the earth lump.
Water the soil in the container well, let it sit for a day and then you can sow.
It is important to take into account that petunia seeds are very small and resemble dust, it is quite difficult to distribute them over the surface.
A clever trick with the ground will fix the situation. Here's what to do.
Mix the seeds with sand and then distribute the mixture as if you were salting the soil. Then close the container with a lid and put it in a bright place.
When to expect seedlings
Petunia seedlings can be expected in 10-14 days. If you see that more than two weeks have passed and there are no seedlings, then there is no point in waiting longer and it is better to sow again.
