Planting or replanting strawberries in the spring determines the future harvest that can be collected from the garden in the new season.
Everything will go like clockwork if you take into account three important points: soil temperature, placement of seedlings and preparation of holes for bushes.
It is worth noting that after spring planting or transplanting, a bountiful harvest from the garden bed can be collected next season. But these rules cannot be neglected.
Firstly
Strawberries are replanted or fresh seedlings are planted only after the weather has finally warmed up. This means that the night air temperature should not fall below 5 degrees Celsius with a plus sign.
Secondly
Strawberries are planted taking into account the rules of crop rotation. It is important to observe the interval between the bushes. Do not save on sowing areas, crowd and compact the seedlings. There should be at least 25-30 centimeters between the bushes.
Thirdly
It is necessary to properly prepare the holes before planting the bushes. Planting holes are prepared up to 10 cm deep. Up to 500 grams of compost (humus) and 80 grams of wood ash are placed inside each. After this, the seedlings are placed.
