Often, summer residents face a problem after sowing seeds: seedlings do not appear even after a long time.

To avoid disappointment in growing vegetables and fruits, it is better to use a proven method.

An expert of the online publication " Belnovosti ", agronomist and author of the blog "Conscious Gardening" Anastasia Kovrizhnykh explained how best to grow seedlings.

Germination will be much higher if you germinate the seeds. The first green leaves after sowing the sprouted seeds will appear much faster.

But it should be remembered that small seeds are not suitable for germination. Planting material of cucumbers and tomatoes must be germinated before planting.

The process is simple and does not require any special skills. All you need is regular water and a cloth in two layers. Instead of water, some gardeners use a weak solution of potassium permanganate.

Potassium permanganate is used for disinfection before planting. Prepare a 1% solution: dilute 1 mg of potassium permanganate in 1 liter of water. You should get a light pink liquid. Dip the seeds in it for 15 minutes. Do not keep the planting material in the solution longer, otherwise the seeds will get burned.
