On pepper and tomato bushes, for no apparent reason, the leaves begin to curl and dry out.

There are many reasons for this phenomenon.

Curling vegetable leaves upwards

This indicates a deficiency of trace elements such as magnesium and copper.

To eliminate the problem, feed them with this solution: dissolve 1 teaspoon of copper sulfate and 2 tablespoons of magnesium sulfate in a 10-liter bucket of water. The consumption rate for one stem is 500 ml of solution.

This indicates excess moisture.

Curling vegetable leaves inwards

This indicates a lack of phosphorus fertilizer. Prepare the following solution for feeding: pour 1 tablespoon of superphosphate with 5 liters of boiling water, leave to infuse for a day and top up with water to 10 liters. The consumption rate is 500 ml of solution per stem.

This also indicates that they are infested with aphids, spider mites, whiteflies and other insects. Use insecticides to kill the pests.

There are also folk remedies for pest control, such as onion peel. Soak a glass of peel in warm water for a day, then spray peppers and tomatoes generously with this infusion.

This should be done at least once every 5 days, more often if possible, until the pests die. Treat the soil around the bushes with a 1% solution of potassium permanganate.

Rolling vegetable leaves into a tube

This indicates that the root system is underdeveloped or was damaged when planting in the ground. When adapting to a permanent place, the symptoms disappear, but if the leaves still curl into a tube, water the plants with a root former or growth stimulator.

Twisting vegetable leaves into a spiral

This means that the plant lacks zinc. To correct the situation, prepare the following solution: add 50 grams of wood ash and 30 grams of superphosphate to 1 liter of water.

Infuse for an hour and a half and bring to 10 liters with water. Pour 500 ml of infusion onto each plant stem.

The leaves became covered with brown spots or brown specks and began to curl.

This means that the plant lacks molybdenum. Feed it with a mixture of superphosphate and wood ash diluted in water.

When the soil acidity exceeds the norm, wood ash will help reduce the soil acidity, which will also help tomatoes absorb phosphorus.
