Powdery mildew can take over an entire garden bed or even a whole vegetable garden in a short period of time, as fungal spores are carried through the air.
If the disease is not treated, it can destroy the entire crop. However, there is one simple remedy that will heal the crops after 2-3 applications.
How to treat powdery mildew
1. You will need two main components - soda and laundry soap. The second ingredient can be grated or used in liquid form.
2. Mix soda and soap in 10 liters of water. Spray the resulting solution on zucchini affected by powdery mildew.
3. It would not be a bad idea to treat neighboring plants that are not affected; perhaps the fungus has already reached them, but has not yet shown itself.
4. It is better to use warm, but not hot water to prepare the solution. Spray the squash 2-3 times every 5-7 days.
The composition does not harm either the green mass or the fruits. It remains on the surface and destroys the fungal disease. The white coating will "dry up" over time, like a puddle.
