Many summer residents wonder how to plant tomatoes correctly to get good seedlings, because the future harvest directly depends on this.

An expert of the online publication Belnovosti, agronomist, and landscape designer Anastasia Kovrizhnykh does not recommend inventing any new tomato planting scheme.

Instead, you can use a couple of tricks that have long been familiar to experienced plant growers.

First of all, it is worth clarifying that the result will be disastrous if you use acidic and heavy soil for planting. In addition, make sure that the seedlings are not cramped. And finally, God forbid you use manure for young tomatoes.

Now we will tell you how, on the contrary, you should act. First of all, you should prepare the soil by checking its pH level. It should be equal to 6 +/- 0.5.

Acidic soil can be “corrected” with dolomite – 1 tablespoon of flour per 1 kg of soil. Alkaline soil is watered with water with the addition of citric acid.

In addition, it is worth enriching the soil with additives in the form of onion peels, bone meal, eggshells and other folk remedies.

The seeds will also require preparation - hydrogen peroxide, potassium permanganate or biological preparations are suitable for their disinfection.
