Couch grass has earned the title of one of the main enemies of plant growers.

An expert of the online publication Belnovosti, agronomist, and landscape designer Anastasia Kovrizhnykh explained why this weed is so difficult to fight.

It's all about its powerful roots, the length of which can reach several meters. This feature allows weeds to sometimes take over the entire area.

Fortunately, you can deal with such a problem without using specialized means, and ordinary Jerusalem artichoke will help you with this.

Experienced gardeners claim that couch grass, as a rule, does not appear in beds with this plant.

To protect your plantings from unwanted neighbors, you will need to plant Jerusalem artichoke in the corners of your garden.

In addition, this representative of the flora copes well with the well-known hogweed.

It is enough to sow Jerusalem artichoke seeds in places where weeds grow most actively, and soon there will be no trace of them left.
