Picking is a convenient tool for working with seedlings. They can be planted in one pot at first, and then the strong and good shoots can be transplanted into a separate container.

At the same time, when preparing to dive peppers, it is worth understanding that this procedure is not very useful for it, so you need to be extremely careful.

Ideally, this plant should be sown for seedlings directly into separate pots, two pieces in each.

What you will need

In order for the picking to be successful, it should be done quickly and confidently. To do this, you need to immediately prepare all the necessary tools.

  • A spatula or teaspoon – for the holes.
  • A sufficient number of pots, based on the calculation of two sprouts per 1 container.
  • Soil – you can buy it in a store or use regular soil, adding fertilizer to it.
  • Water at room temperature.

Everything should be placed on oilcloth or in a place that you don’t mind getting dirty – it’s unlikely that you’ll be able to carefully pour the soil and compact it.

Algorithm of actions

You need to prepare for picking immediately after the third, true leaf of the plant appears. After it grows at least a centimeter, you should act as follows.

Preparing the pots. The containers should be placed and filled with soil. Next, you need to compact the soil in it so that it occupies about three-quarters of the pot.

Now, in each container, you need to make a deep hole with a spoon – almost to the very bottom.

Pepper seedlings should be carefully removed from the pot and the roots should be sorted out by hand, trying not to touch the stems too much and especially not to pull, squeeze or press anything.

The plant should be taken with fingers by several leaves and carefully lowered into the holes. Two sprouts per pot.

The remaining space should be carefully sprinkled with soil and lightly pressed with your fingers so that the stem stands straight.

Now the soil needs to be carefully watered, but not the stem itself, but under the sides of the pot.

This is where the picking ends. The seedlings need to be placed on a well-lit windowsill and watered well. The temperature for successful pepper growth should not fall below 20 degrees.
