Like any other crop, grapes are not protected from diseases or attacks by insect pests.
An expert of the online publication Belnovosti, agronomist, landscape designer Anastasia Kovrizhnykh told what to do to save grapes and not lose the harvest.
As soon as the vineyard is uncovered, it should be treated with a solution of ferrous sulfate - to prepare it, dilute 300 g of powder in a bucket of water (remember that when ferrous sulfate dissolves in water, it very quickly turns into another ineffective form, so you must immediately add acid, such as citric acid).
This way, you will not only provide protection for the plant from fungal diseases, but you will also be able to slow down the swelling of the buds - this way the grapes will suffer less from recurrent frosts.
With the appearance of the first leaves, the grapes are exposed to the danger of spider mite attacks.
In this case, it is worth using drugs such as Thiovit Jet or Kumulus.
Experienced winegrowers are also familiar with such diseases as mildew, anthracnose and oidium. "HOM", "Abiga peak" (copper oxychloride), "Kuprolux" or "Polyhom" will help to overcome the diseases.
Before the flowering period, it is a good time to treat the grapes, this time it is worth using "Ridomil Gold", "Aktarp", "Topaz" or "MC Kemir". After the flowering is over, use "Akara" or "Carbio Top".
