For sowing seedlings, pots of two sizes are usually used.
At the very beginning of plant growth – peppers, tomatoes, eggplants – small cups are needed.
Then you will need soil to sow the seedlings in. You can prepare it yourself using garden soil, or buy a ready-made soil mixture.
After the soil has been poured into the pots or boxes, it needs to be leveled and moistened. Then we start sowing at the correct depth, sprinkle with soil and put in a warm place.
You can use peat tablets to save time on unnecessary movements and not waste it on pots: you will need one tablet for each seed.
How to use peat tablets
We put them in a tray, pour warm water so that they swell, and now we can sow. We put the seeds in the middle of the peat tablets to a depth of 1 cm.
This type of sowing will take no more than 10-15 minutes and will allow you to spend less time fiddling with the soil at the initial stage.
2nd phase of seedling sowing: we place peat tablets with sprouts in cups with soil. We do this when the roots have mastered the entire volume of soil in the tablet.
