Everbearing raspberries should bear fruit until frost, but it happens that the berries simply do not have time to ripen and part of the crop dies on the vine.

There are secrets that allow you to speed up the ripening of raspberries, and this is not only planting early ripening varieties. We will tell you in more detail.

Secret one

In March or early April, you need to remove snow, last year's mulch, and everything that was used to cover the raspberries for the winter from the rows. This is necessary so that the soil warms up faster. After that, you can cover both the bushes and the soil with white spunbond, which will speed up the warming process. Under it, young shoots will begin to grow 1-2 weeks earlier, and accordingly, the berries will begin to grow and ripen earlier.

Secret two

Apply fertilizers correctly and in a timely manner. As soon as the bushes start growing, apply nitrogen fertilizers.

1. In early spring, add azophoska (20-30 g per 1 sq. m) or urea (30-40 g, the same consumption).

2. After two weeks, add humus (6-8 kg per 1 sq. m), a solution of mullein (1:10) or chicken manure (1:20), at a rate of 3-5 liters of fertilizer per 1 sq. m.

3. During the flowering period, use complex fertilizers (Fertika, Agricola, etc.) or ash infusion (1 glass per bucket of water and leave for 24 hours).

Secret three

Pest control is mandatory. Insecticides are used for spraying (Alatar, Inta-Vir, Fufanon-Nova, etc.).

And finally, it is necessary to select varieties for planting that are bred for growing in a certain climate, otherwise such tricks will be useless.
