Proper site planning helps not only to increase the yield, but also to protect plants from diseases.

Some summer residents ignore an important rule and then become disappointed: there is no harvest and the plantings are lost.

Tomatoes are considered one of the most common plants in the country. Therefore, gardeners make the most mistakes when cultivating this crop.

After tomatoes that were not sick, you can plant many plants. But the list is significantly reduced if the tomatoes still encountered some kind of illness.

For example, even after disinfecting the soil, the bed should not be allocated for representatives of the nightshade family:

  • pepper;
  • physalis;
  • melon pear.

It is risky to plant carrots and cabbage in this area. These crops are very afraid of rot. It is better to look for another place for these vegetables, especially if the tomatoes were struggling with late blight last season.
