When preparing a bed for strawberries, you need to take into account several nuances so that the harvest does not disappoint.

It is important not only to provide plants with nutrition, but also to protect them from diseases.

Gardeners apply more fertilizers, but completely forget about harmful microorganisms in the soil.

About every third summer resident has encountered a problem. The strawberry harvest is good, but the berries are rotting.

In another case, green fruits hang on the plants, which never ripen. All this is a consequence of improper preparation of the bed.

The area should be well lit first of all. To prevent strawberries from being affected by rot, the soil should be treated with a fungicide, for example, Fitosporin.

In addition, the plantings should be mulched with hay. But before that, fertilize. In early spring, gardeners advise adding ammonium nitrate or nitroammophoska - 35-45 g per square meter (scattered between the bushes) or 25-30 g per 10 liters of water (0.5 liters for each plant).

Strawberries are fed with urea and potassium sulfate - 1 tbsp. per 10 l of water (0.5 l per bush) and 25-30 g per square meter.
