What do the pimples on pepper seedlings indicate: not pests or a varietal feature

Pepper seedlings can surprise summer residents with a strange symptom that must be paid attention to.

We are talking about pimples on the leaves of seedlings. This is not a fungus, but it is not a feature of the variety.

The problem here is overwatering. Young leaves are susceptible to oedema, which is commonly called dropsy.

It's not just high humidity. It's usually a combination of three factors: dampness, lack of light and heat.

If the situation is not corrected, dropsy can cause harm to seedlings. First, you need to dry the soil.

Next, you need to give the plants more light. For example, raise the container with seedlings higher. It is advisable to place them on the warmest windowsill away from drafts.

In addition, good drainage is needed. Do not allow water to stagnate again. If there are no holes at the bottom of the container, then you need to make them.

You should not feed seedlings with dropsy. It is better to wait until healthy leaves appear.
