It is nice to enjoy a juicy and tasty cherry harvest and you need to know how to properly care for the plant.

Cherry, like other crops, requires regular care, including fertilizing.

Sometimes the cherry tree causes a lot of trouble for gardeners. Even with properly organized care, the harvest is so meager that there is nothing to brag about. And the reason is in the fertilizers.

How to properly feed cherries

To fertilize cherries, various fertilizers are used - organic and mineral substances.

If the cherry tree is young, it can be sprayed with a urea solution at a rate of 10-20 g of urea per 5 liters of water.

Root feeding is carried out using ammonium nitrate. This will require up to 20 g per square meter of the trunk circle.

An older tree, which is 4 years old or older, is fed according to the same scheme, and after flowering it can be fed with the following solution: 2 liters of mullein, 5 glasses of ash, 25 liters of water.

Cherry trees aged 4-7 years are fed with a solution at the rate of 1 bucket, for older trees up to 2 buckets of fertilizer are added. After 10-12 days, you can feed with phosphorus-potassium fertilizers.

To attract bees, the tree is sprayed with a “tasty” solution: 1 teaspoon of honey per 6 liters of water.
