Tomatoes are most often grown in greenhouses, where the necessary microclimate can be created. If you intend to choose good neighbors for tomatoes, you need to think about the consequences and mutual requirements of the two crops.

We'll tell you what you need to pay attention to.

Firstly

The design of the greenhouse is of decisive importance - the material from which its walls are made, the presence of vents and the possibility of ventilation, as well as the dimensions of the room.

Secondly

Not so much together with tomatoes, but rather before planting seedlings, it is necessary to sow early fast-growing crops. The most successful in this regard are considered to be onions and garlic, planted for greens, as well as salads and radishes.

2. A good result will be achieved if you sow marigolds, but this is only in the case when the sowing area allows you to use the free space in this way.

3. Mustard will feel great at the foot of tomatoes, it will grow just as vitamin-rich, but at the same time it will protect against the spread of late blight and saturate the soil with useful substances.

4. You can leave the onions between the rows, or remove them after the feathers become coarse. But there is a risk that the tomatoes will overwhelm the onions - there can be no greater harm.

5. And the last thing that remains is lettuce, spinach, sorrel and basil. They will also grow well with tomatoes, the main thing is that the plants have the same needs for light, heat and moisture.
