This should be done closer to the middle or the end of August, depending on climate conditions and the fruiting season.
To increase the yield, you will have to properly form the bushes and direct the plant's energy not to the growth of greenery, but to fruiting.
What needs to be done
First, ruthlessly remove shoots that do not bear fruit and grow below. At the same time, you need to remove excess foliage, but not all of it.
Thanks to this, the energy will go towards fruiting, lighting and ventilation will improve, and the risk of developing diseases will be reduced.
Secondly, you need to cut off the tops where buds, flowers and ovaries have appeared. In August, they will not have time to form anyway and will only interfere with the ripening of already formed fruits.
Thirdly, peppers are pruned no earlier than mid-August.
