Along with truly useful folk remedies, you can find ineffective and dangerous methods of feeding indoor plants.
Some people praise cinnamon. The spice is called a real concentration of nutrients for flowers.
An expert of the online publication Belnovosti , agronomist and author of the blog Conscious Gardening Anastasia Kovrizhnykh explained whether it is worth believing in this myth.
According to the expert, the absurdity of the spice's usefulness for flowers is destroyed by just one fact.
Cinnamon is an aromatic plant bark. It is used to improve the taste of a drink or dish, but even for human health it has no particular benefit.
The same is true for indoor plants. Neither the above-ground part nor the root system receive anything from cinnamon.
The only exception may be the aroma. If the flowers have an unpleasant smell, cinnamon will mask it and, perhaps as a bonus, scare away midges.
But the smell should not be hidden. It is better to get rid of the source. The same with winged insects. If the reason for their appearance is not eliminated, they will appear again.
