Already in February, prudent summer residents begin to sow many crops for seedlings, gradually preparing for the new season.
However, not all gardeners prepare seeds for sowing, which in the long term is a big mistake.
Many experienced gardeners believe that without this action one should not count on a solid harvest.
It is especially important to prepare pepper and eggplant seeds. It is enough to do one small trick at the end of winter or at the beginning of spring to significantly increase the quality of the harvest.
How to prepare seeds
Pepper and eggplant seeds are soaked between two damp cotton pads. You don't need a lot of water. But the pads should be damp.
You can soak it in regular water and add aloe juice, hydrogen peroxide or growth stimulants.
Cucumbers and tomatoes often sprout well without soaking, which is not the case with peppers and eggplants. The seeds of these crops need to be in a humid environment for at least 24 hours. During this time, they will swell and be ready for sowing.
