Eggplants grow well both in a greenhouse and in open ground, but just in case, you need to be able to equip a shelter for seedlings. Only then, first you need to plant the bushes correctly.
This crop requires loose and fertile soil, as well as one useful additive.
Preparing the ground
When digging a bed for this crop, add one bucket of humus and one glass of wood ash per square meter.
If the soil is clayey, you will have to add sand or peat.
Before landing
Planting eggplant seedlings deserves special attention.
Before digging in the roots, add ½ teaspoon of complex mineral fertilizer (any, but the base should be nitrogen, phosphorus and potassium in approximately equal proportions) to each hole in the prepared bed.
Remember that when transplanting seedlings into the soil, you cannot deepen the bushes more than 1-2 cm. This is done even with seedlings that have been overexposed or stretched out.
Size of the hole
There are no special standards. The main thing is that the hole is slightly larger than the size of the root system. Do not forget to water the soil before applying fertilizers.
The transplant is carried out together with the soil lump removed from the cup.
