Gastropods are known to cause significant damage to long-awaited harvests.

As the expert of the online publication Belnovosti, agronomist, landscape designer Anastasia Kovrizhnykh said, snails and slugs love to feast on the tubers of cultivated plants, and also do not neglect ripe fruits, including berries.

Therefore, it is worth trying very hard to get rid of uninvited “slippery” guests in the beds.

1. As one of the home insecticides that successfully fight arthropods, many gardeners use wood ash, slaked lime and dry mustard. You will need 30 g of the substance per square meter.

2. Many gardeners turn to spruce needles for help in this matter, placing fir tree branches, for example, under strawberries.

3. Another effective remedy is iron sulfate. But don't even think about treating plants with it - sulfate is only suitable for paths at a rate of 10 g per "square".

4. You can treat the greens with a solution of table salt, to prepare which you need to dissolve 0.5 kg of salt in 10 liters of water.

5. Finally, you can try using ammonia – in this case, you need to dilute 4-6 tablespoons of ammonia in a bucket of water and spray the plants once a week.
