Nettle is rightfully considered one of the best plant fertilisers used in organic gardening.

An expert of the online publication Belnovosti, agronomist, and landscape designer Anastasia Kovrizhnykh told us what scheme summer residents use when preparing nettle infusion.

First, you need to collect the required amount of raw materials. You will need about 6-10 plants per bucket (depending on their size), and at least 50 stems to fill a barrel.

If you don't want to encourage the spread of nettles in your own area, go and get the plants before the flowering period begins.

Important: the product should only be prepared in plastic containers, where the possibility of a chemical reaction is excluded.

Cut the shoots and then cover them with warm water, leaving a little space for the fermentation process to take place.

Cover the container with a lid or a board, then move it to a warm place where the infusion will remain for 7 to 14 days. To speed up fermentation, you can use 10 g of yeast or 10 ml of "Baikal" (per 10 liters of water).

Don't forget to stir the infusion with a stick every day. You can tell that the product is ready by the absence of foam and a rich dark color. Before use, strain the liquid and dilute with water - a liter of infusion per 10 liters of water.
