With relatively minimal costs for caring for raspberries, you can get a good harvest.
The main thing is to do everything on time, wisely and not to ignore the advice of gardeners, which has been hard-won by personal experience. Here is what is recommended to do in the spring to collect a rich harvest of delicious berries.
Spring feeding of raspberries
In general, raspberries are fed twice - in autumn and spring. One feeding is necessary for normal wintering, the second to activate growth, strengthen immunity to diseases, pests and bad weather, as well as for excellent fruiting.
When to start
As soon as the snow melts, you can safely begin to feed the raspberries. The next stage falls on the time of budding, flowering, fruiting.
What to feed
Traditionally, summer residents choose between organic fertilizers and mineral additives. By default, organics are used, which are not as harmful to the soil and are not inferior in terms of the content of useful substances.
The main condition for spring feeding is a high nitrogen content in the composition, otherwise there is no point in talking about the active awakening of raspberries after wintering.
1. Chicken manure solution – 1 kg per 10 l of water. Consumption 5 liters of the finished composition per bush.
2. Infusion of manure (mature compost) – 1 kg of fertilizer per 10 l of water, then leave for 2-3 days in a warm place, dilute with water in a ratio of 10:1. Used for watering.
3. Mullein solution – 1 kg per 10 l of water, also used for irrigation.
Important! Fertilizers are applied to damp soil - after rain or watering, under the root 20 cm from the plant stems.
Of the mineral fertilizers, nitrogen is used at the first stage (urea solution - 20 g per 10 l of water), and phosphorus and potassium are added when the ovaries appear.
