Whitefly is one of the most dangerous pests, whose food is plant juices.

An expert of the online publication Belnovosti, agronomist, and landscape designer Anastasia Kovrizhnykh explained why you shouldn’t delay in the fight against the parasite.

As is known, the most attractive to tiny white flies are hibiscus, fuchsia, abutilon, bacopa, pelargonium, indoor rose, lantana, and pomegranate.

Both insect larvae and adults suck the juice from leaf blades.

As a result of such an attack, the leaves turn yellow, dry out and eventually fall off.

But that's not all - the sticky sugary secretions that whitefly larvae leave behind are an excellent habitat for sooty mold, which appear as black spots.

The listed consequences have a negative impact on the general condition of the plant, as a result of which it stops growing and developing.

In the same case, if the number of white butterflies is off the charts, you can completely lose your "green pet" in 1-2 months. That is why you should look for and apply effective methods of combating whiteflies as soon as they are noticed.
