However, Belstat’s data covers October and refers to the nominal accrued average salary.
The leader in this indicator in October was Minsk – employers in the capital paid workers an average of 3,149 rubles 40 kopecks.
What else does the statistics say?
The TOP-3 regions with the highest average monthly salaries (nominal accrued) also included Minsk and Gomel regions – 2,406.2 and 2,134.6 rubles, respectively.
Behind them are the Grodno (2,111.9), Brest (2,110.9) and Vitebsk (1,988.6) regions.
In last place is Mogilev region. Here, according to the statistics committee, the average October salary was 1,974 rubles 60 kopecks.
As for workers, Belstat points out that the leaders in terms of salaries are those in the information and communications sector – 5,646 rubles 60 kopecks.
The top three are financiers and insurers (3,578 rubles 90 kopecks) and builders (2,951.5 rubles).
Next come those engaged in professional, scientific and technical activities. Their average salary is 2,919 rubles 40 kopecks.
And then – workers in industry (2,622.8 rubles) and transport, warehousing, postal and courier activities (2,463.7).
Orsha
It is clear that all the figures mentioned above are only average statistical indicators.
Real wages, especially in recent days, can be both lower and higher than the average nominal accrued wages.
Moreover, even in regional centers you can now find salaries that exceed capital city salaries.
For example, in the city of Orsha (Vitebsk region), some people are willing to pay up to 6,000 rubles to others.
There are a number of salaries in the region of 4,000 rubles and slightly higher. All of them appear in employers' vacancies posted on the website of the state employment service.
For example, the company "Tossat" offers a job for a roofer on metal roofs. Salary - from 4,500 to 5,500 rubles.
Orsha Instrument Plant is calling for a Deputy Director – Chief Engineer. Promises a monthly salary of 4,500 to 6,000 rubles.
The same employer wants to employ a deputy director for commercial activities. They are ready to pay him from 4,500 to 5,100 rubles.
Other TOP salaries of the city
In second place in this kind of rating of the best Orsha salaries, the sum of 4,400 rubles was noticed.
