Salaries, bonuses, family capital. Belarus budget priorities for expenditures in 2025 have been announced

Alexander Lukashenko signed the law "On the republican budget for 2025".

The document provides for a number of important areas related to the expenditure side of the budget.

The head of the Standing Committee on Budget and Finance of the House of Representatives, Vasily Panasyuk, told the Belta agency which of them will be priorities next year.

Social orientation

According to him, the expenditure side of the budget, as before, remains socially oriented.

In particular, the deputy identified those expenses that are related to increasing the salaries and welfare of public sector employees as priority ones.

Funds will also be allocated to increase the base rate to 271 rubles.

The funds will also be used to pay bonuses to certain categories of public sector employees.

Healthcare and Education

Sectoral bonuses will also be financed:

– healthcare (the current ratio of a doctor’s salary to the national average of 150% is maintained);
– education (100% ratio is ensured for teachers).

According to Panasyuk, education expenditures are planned in the amount of 13.8 billion rubles, which is 14.5% higher than the 2024 figure.

Healthcare expenditures – 13.2 billion roubles (+12.2% compared to the outgoing year).

Family capital and housing

The state budget will allocate 6 billion rubles for social policy, which is 14.7% more than in 2024.

The amount allocated for the payment of family capital is 361.1 million rubles.

In addition, budget expenditures will be related to financing:

– construction of housing with state support – 1.9 billion rubles;
– state youth policy – 16.6 million rubles;
– purchases of transport for educational, healthcare and social service institutions – 147.4 million rubles.

Economy

The funds will also be invested in “the most productive investment projects” in promising areas of the country’s economy.

Financing for the agro-industrial complex has been guaranteed – 1 billion rubles have been allocated for its support.

The transfer of transfers to local budgets will amount to a total of 10.4 billion rubles.

It is envisaged to transfer 1.9 billion rubles in the form of subsidies to the social protection fund, the parliamentarian noted.
