The Belarusian economy should grow by at least 3% annually; there is potential.
This was stated by the First Deputy Minister of Economy Andrey Kartun.
What did Kartun say about economic growth?
As the deputy minister told the BELTA project “Country Speaks”, forecasts about the decline of the Belarusian economy have not come true in recent years.
According to Kartun, the Belarusian economy has been growing for two years now.
Yes, there are problems, I am not saying that they do not exist. But, nevertheless, we are steadily adding, - stated the Deputy Head of the Ministry of Economy.
From 2023, Kartun continued, the goals are to restore the growth rates of 2022 and to grow above the global rate (slightly below 3%).
We should not grow less than 3%, the deputy minister said.
According to him, this figure is not taken out of thin air; there is potential for growth.
We have already exceeded 4%. We plan to maintain this pace, Kartun summed up.
