Problems with accepting old-style dollars are observed all over the world.
This was stated by the head of the Department of Multilateral Economic Cooperation and Special Projects of the Ministry of Economic Development of the Russian Federation, Nikita Kondratyev.

Journalists asked Kondratyev to comment on the refusal to accept old dollars from Russian citizens abroad.
A representative of the department explained that not only Russian citizens face this problem.
This is a global trend, the head of the department stated.
According to him, this does not mean that Russian citizens are being denied rights abroad.
Kondratyev recalled that in the Russian Federation, some banks do not accept old dollars.
Banks, the official explained, are trying to protect themselves in this way.
This is a trend all over the world, ” added the representative of the Russian Ministry of Economic Development.
In the fall, the vice president of the Association of Tour Operators of Russia, Artur Muradyan, warned about problems with the exchange of old-style dollars in popular tourist countries such as Türkiye and the UAE.
He advised Russians to take new dollars or other currency convertible in the host country when traveling.
