It has become known who in Belarus was granted a deferment on VAT payment when importing goods into the country.
According to the government decree (number 950 dated December 11 of this year), more than 40 domestic enterprises received this benefit.
The document was officially published on the republic’s legal internet portal.
It states that when importing goods into the EAEU (with the exception of excisable goods not used in production), a deferment of VAT payment is granted to certain enterprises.
It is specified: to those organizations that are important for the economic, production and food security of Belarus.
The list of such enterprises includes 41 enterprises. Among them are Atlant, Belavia, Belaruskali, BMZ, Gomselmash, MAZ, Kommunarka, Spartak, etc.
The deferment is granted for no more than 3 months from the day following the day of release of the goods.
The deferment will be granted on the basis of a decision by the customs authority to release goods in accordance with the declaration from the taxpayer.
The resolution came into force after publication. It will be in effect for six months.
