The Ministry of Labor and Social Protection predicts a 14% increase in pensions in Belarus in 2025.
And the salaries of public sector employees could increase by 15 percent over the same year.
The head of the department, Natalia Pavlyuchenko, reported this on the “Main Air” program of the Belarus 1 TV channel.
She noted that the Ministry of Labor knows that 2.4 million Belarusian pensioners always expect good news regarding pension recalculations during the year.
Therefore, taking into account the forecast parameters and calculations, we plan that, on average, pensions will increase by 14% per year, the minister said.
According to her, the average pension in the country for the year could be 926 rubles.
Please note: last week, deputies adopted the draft law “On the budget of the state extra-budgetary fund for social protection of the population of the Republic of Belarus for 2025.”
In this regard, Pavlyuchenko reported that traditionally 80% of the expenditure part of the Social Security Fund budget goes towards pension provision.
We will add 3.3 billion rubles to the current year's level next year, and in total we plan to allocate almost 26 billion for pension payments. Such serious growth, she said.
She also said that a gradual increase in pensions is envisaged.
The head of the Ministry of Labor announced an increase in allowances and pension supplements due to the growth of the subsistence minimum budget from which they are calculated.
