Recently it became known about China’s intention to invest in some development projects in Belarus.
The talk is about providing China with technical and economic assistance in the amount of 300 million yuan (42.6 million dollars).
The funding is stipulated in an agreement between the governments of the two countries.
The document was officially published on the republic’s legal internet portal.
It is known from the details that Beijing is investing the mentioned amount to implement some projects.
Among these, for example, is the introduction of information and communication technologies.
The funds will also be used to build a second residential rental complex on the territory of the Chinese-Belarusian industrial park "Great Stone" (Smolevichi district, Minsk region).
To carry out the investment, Belarusbank and the China Development Bank will jointly open interest-free and commission-free accounts in Chinese yuan in the name of the other party.
It is separately noted that when using technical and economic assistance, the procedure for maintaining accounts must meet the requirements of the China Development Bank.
Both financial and credit institutions will constantly exchange information regarding the use of funds from the above-mentioned accounts.
