“Fresh” data has appeared regarding the situation with Belarus’ gold and foreign exchange reserves.
It is known that as of the first day of winter of the outgoing year, the figure amounted to 8.7949 billion dollars in equivalent.
This is evidenced by data released by the press service of the National Bank of the Republic.
The regulator notes that, according to the results of November 2024, the country's gold and foreign exchange reserves decreased by $139 million (minus 1.6%), while a month earlier they showed growth of $75.6 million (plus 0.85%).
It is also pointed out that in the structure of international reserve assets of Belarus today the largest share is occupied by assets in foreign currency and monetary gold.
It is stated that by December 1, the volume of foreign currency in reserves was recorded at the level of 2.8465 billion dollars (in November it increased by 34.7 million dollars or 1.2%).
As for monetary gold, its volume in November amounted to 4.5948 billion dollars (down by 150.5 million dollars or 3.2%).
The National Bank predicts that by the end of 2024, the country's gold and foreign exchange reserves should amount to at least six billion dollars.
