In Belarus, for the first 7 months of this year, construction took first place among all industries in terms of growth rates of accrued average monthly wages.
Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic Anatoly Sivak announced this at a joint meeting of the House of Representatives and the Council of the Republic.
According to him, the average (nominal accrued) salary of construction workers for the specified period was fixed at 2,500 rubles.
The value exceeds the national average by 14.1% (growth rate compared to the same period last year is 29.7%)
In comparison with other types of activities, the construction industry ranks fifth in terms of wages, Belta quotes the Deputy Prime Minister as saying.
He added: in terms of the growth rate of the accrued average monthly salary based on the results of 7 months of 2024, construction is ahead of other industries.
According to his data, in the specified time period, the maximum level of staff turnover in construction was 19.3%, which is lower than the figure for the same period last year.
In total, 118,700 workers were employed in the country's construction organizations from January to July 2024.
The figure is 6,500 people higher than the figure recorded at the beginning of this year.
At the same time, today the ratio of the growth rate of labor productivity in construction and wages is slightly below one, that is, it is in the border zone, noted Sivak.
He stressed that further increases in wages for construction workers “without a corresponding increase in productivity is economically unjustified.”
