The International Monetary Fund has improved its forecast for the growth of Belarus' gross domestic product.

According to the fund’s forecasts, the Belarusian economy will grow by 3.6% this year and by 2.3% next year.
Previous IMF forecasts were much more modest – 2.4% and 1.1%, respectively.
Earlier, the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development and the World Bank improved their forecasts for economic growth in Belarus.
As reported by the National Statistical Committee, the country's economy grew by 4.5% in January-September of this year.
The target for economic growth by the end of the year is 3.8%, so the growth rate is currently significantly higher than forecast. The target for GDP growth for next year is 4.1%.
