Prices for a number of goods in our country are lower than in the Russian Federation.
The corresponding statement was made by Nikolai Snopkov, a representative of the highest executive authority of Belarus.
The First Deputy Head of the Belarusian Government shared important information during a joint meeting of the House of Representatives and the Council of the Republic.
This was reported by the Belarusian Telegraph Agency " BELTA ".
Inflation and prices in Belarus
According to Snopkov's statement, last year inflation was reduced in our country to 6 percent.
The First Deputy Prime Minister stressed that the indicator is maintained at this level.
The government representative added: inflation in Belarus is lower than in countries such as the Russian Federation and the Republic of Kazakhstan.
According to Snopkov, Belarus also has lower prices for many goods when compared with corresponding Russian indicators.
The Belarusian statesman gave the following examples:
- apple prices in our country are lower than in the Russian Federation by an average of 64 percent;
- cucumbers are on average 57 percent cheaper;
- milk - by 37 percent;
- pork - by 12 percent.
Snopkov added: in the social sphere, the Council of Ministers places emphasis on the triad of "prices, wages, housing." According to the statesman, representatives of the highest executive body of Belarus pay priority attention to these three areas.
