One category of goods has been removed from price regulation in Belarus.
We are talking about luxury goods.
The corresponding decision was made by the government of our country.
Thus, the republic will no longer regulate prices for premium goods.
This information was shared by the head of MART Alexey Bogdanov, BELTA reports.
Why Luxury Goods Will No Longer Be Regulated in Prices
As Bogdanov noted, there is no point in regulating prices for such goods.
The minister drew attention to the senselessness of subsidizing wealthy people who already have the opportunity to buy premium goods.
What other changes are there in price regulation?
The highest executive body of Belarus decided to make several adjustments to Resolution No. 713.
This legal act regulates pricing in the republic.
In addition to the above-mentioned exclusion of luxury goods from price regulation, there are other important changes.
We are talking about introducing maximum prices for fruit and vegetable products, as well as reducing importer markups on certain goods (for example, buckwheat, pasta, juices, toothpaste).
