At the moment, Belarusians still have the opportunity to exchange old banknotes for banknotes and coins of the current denomination series.
However, the relevant period will soon end.
The National Bank of the Republic of Belarus has warned residents of the country: the end of the additional period for exchanging old money for current money is scheduled for December 31 of this year.
This was reported by the Belarusian Telegraph Agency " BELTA ".
Where can I exchange old money?
Banknotes that were in circulation before the 2016 denomination can be exchanged at the National Bank cash desks.
They are located at 6 Tolstoy Street in the Belarusian capital.
The ticket office hours are from 08:30 to 15:30 (Monday-Thursday) and from 08:30 to 14:30 (Friday). If we are talking about a day before a holiday, then one hour must be subtracted from the closing time.
It is not possible to exchange old money on Saturday and Sunday.
It is emphasized that the exchange of old-style banknotes for new money at the National Bank's cash desks does not involve charging a fee.
Let us recall that the exchange of old money for new is carried out in a ratio of 10,000 to 1. In other words, for an old hundred-ruble note, citizens will receive a coin of 1 kopeck.
It is worth paying attention to the following point: banknotes that are not exchanged before December 31, 2024, will be considered invalid from the first day of next year.
