Part of the budget deficit of Belarus for next year will be financed by a Russian loan.
This was announced on October 9 by the head of the Ministry of Finance of Belarus, Yuri Seliverstov.

What the Finance Minister Said About the Budget Deficit and the Russian Credit
Today, an extended meeting of the House of Representatives Standing Committee on Budget and Finance was held.
The bills on the republican budget for next year, the budget of the Social Security Fund for next year and amendments to the Tax Code were considered.
The meeting was attended by the heads of the Ministry of Finance, the Ministry of Labor, the Ministry of Taxes and Duties, the Social Security Fund, deputies and senators.
As the head of the Ministry of Finance said, the budget deficit for next year will be around 4.5 billion rubles.
Almost 1 billion out of 4.5 billion will be external borrowings. Part of these funds will be attracted from the Russian Federation in the form of a loan, the minister said.
According to him, the safety parameters stipulate that the deficit should not exceed 3% of the gross domestic product, and the project for next year includes about 1.6%.
This is an acceptable level, Seliverstov stated.
The zero reading of the budget package is expected to take place at the end of the month.
