Belarus' GDP has grown – Belstat

It has recently become known that Belarus' gross domestic product has shown growth this year.

We are talking about the period from January to August inclusive. During this time period, the most important economic indicator grew by 4.9 percent.

This figure was announced by the press service of the National Statistical Committee of the Republic (Belstat).

The agency also reported that the volume of GDP in current prices was recorded at 158.4 billion rubles.

That is, in comparable prices for the same period last year, growth amounted to the aforementioned 4.9%.

As for the national gross domestic product deflator index, according to the results of 8 months of 2024, it added 10.7% to the level of the same period in 2023.

It should be noted that, based on the results of last year, the domestic economy showed growth at the level of 3.9%.

The country's draft budget for the next year, 2025, includes GDP growth of 4.1% over 12 months with inflation no more than five percent.
