As for net external debt (external liabilities minus gross external assets in the form of debt instruments), it decreased in the first half of the year from 13.1% to 12.3% of GDP.

The bulk of external debt – 71.3% – still consists of long-term liabilities. This suggests that risks in the area of external debt financing are low.
